Unicompartmental Replacement
Unicompartmental Knee Replacement (also known as Partial Knee Replacement) is a surgical procedure used to treat arthritis confined to one area (or compartment) of the knee — most commonly the medial (inner) compartment. Unlike total knee replacement, this procedure involves replacing only the damaged part of the joint, preserving the healthy bone, cartilage and ligaments.
This less invasive approach offers effective pain relief, faster recovery and a more natural-feeling knee.
If knee pain is affecting your lifestyle and arthritis is limited to one area of your joint, Unicompartmental Knee Replacement could be a less invasive, highly effective option.
